F.a.q.

Q: How long will they last?

A: Depends on the individual's skin, activities and etc. Generally lasts for 2-3 years but sometimes clients refreshen as soon as 1 year for eyebrow service. For lips and eyeliner it will last for 3 - 5 years.

Q: Does it hurt? Will you numb me?

A: A topical anesthesia is used as needed to help numb the areas to be treated. This helps to alleviate any minor discomfort you may experience during the procedure. Every person has a different pain threshold and level of tolerance. We will customize the anesthetic process for each individual using a variety of topical anesthetics designed specifically for the sensitive facial areas.

Q: How long does it take to heal? Will I be able to go to work?

A: Healing period is one week. As long as you're good at following aftercare instructions, there shouldn't be a problem going to work or being out in public. Eyeliner and lip service, you will be swollen for 2 days after.

Q: How long is the appointment?

A: About 2 hours with most of the time spent going over colors and drawing in shapes. Adequate time is allowed for topical anesthetic to make you completely comfortable. You will also be given thorough aftercare instructions for optimum healing and outcome.

Q: Will you draw in the shapes first?

A: Yes, I won't start on you until you agree with the color selected and shape. The majority of the time is spent in selecting the appropriate color for your skin, and in measuring and artistically drawing on the planned procedure prior to actually implanting the color.

Q: Can I get them wet or work out?

A: No, not for at least one week. Keep the treated area dry and reduce the risk of complications or infection and to retain the maximum amount of pigment implanted.

Q: Can I wear makeup after?

A: Not on the procedure area for at least one week but everywhere else is fine.

Q: Is the second appointment necessary?

A: I highly recommend it but not always necessary as I usually get more than 90% retention.
